Design

As a journalist being well rounded is important. Having a good understanding of design and branding is about more than just visuals—it’s about building trust and consistency. Faith Unfiltered, a brand I created for a small group at my church reflects its mission to provide honest, open conversations about faith. The tone is authentic yet professional, making it approachable for young people while maintaining credibility. Every element, from the logo to the color palette, is designed to reflect the balance between faith and real-life experiences.

Faith Unfiltered

The idea for Faith Unfiltered came from a desire to create a space where faith isn’t polished or perfect—it’s real. From brainstorming the name to designing the logo and selecting the color palette, every detail was carefully crafted to reflect authenticity and approachability.

Designing the Logo

The Faith Unfiltered logo was inspired by the idea of authenticity and openness. The design process involved experimenting with different symbols that reflect a bright and bold faith and connection while keeping the design clean and modern.  The color palette was chosen to reflect creativity and trust, reinforcing the welcoming nature of the brand.

Manual

Building a consistent brand experience meant creating a detailed Faith Unfiltered manual. This includes guidelines on logo usage, color palettes, typography, and tone of voice. The manual ensures that every piece of content—whether a social media post or an event flyer—feels consistent and true to the Faith Unfiltered identity. It also outlines our approach on how to engage with our audience and handle topics with care and empathy.

Social Media

To reach the right audience, Faith Unfiltered uses strategic social media and marketing efforts. The focus is on creating engaging, authentic content that sparks conversations. Our main platform, Instagram is key for connecting with younger audiences The goal is to create a two-way dialogue, encouraging followers to share their thoughts and experiences.
